Summer School 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, summer school will be virtual for all programs offered. It will run June 2 – June 25, 2020 (all Fridays with the exception of June 7th will be non-attendance days). Student attendance hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Summer school courses offered to Edgewater students included credit recovery through OCVS. PERT Prep Camp, Algebra 1 Boot Camp, The Calculus Project, and Extended School Year (ESY) will be hosted by EHS. Students will receive an email notifying them if there were registered for a credit recovery course. It is important for students to log in to their course(s) no later than the first three days to avoid being dropped from any of the enrolled summer school programs.

 Description of programs offered
Credit Recovery courses provide students instruction through an on-line program, called Edgenuity. Edgenuity offers a standards-aligned video-based curriculum for high school students in all core content areas. This program will run through OCVS.

The Calculus Project is offered to select rising 9th-grade students for a preview of Algebra 2 Honors. Names were provided to EHS by the feeder middle schools. Students have received an email to their student email accounts for registration. Space is limited!

PERT Prep Camp (math only) is designed to help students receive a concordant score on the PERT test to fulfill the Algebra 1 EOC requirement. A letter was mailed out to eligible students and the students received an email to their student email accounts for registration. Space is limited!

The ESY program will be offered to selected exceptional education students based on their IEP data.

For information on summer school please contact [email protected] (Summer School Coordinator) and [email protected] (Assistant Principal over Summer School).

Student Health Center
The Edgewater High School Student Health Center is closed while campus is closed. As you prepare for summer camps, college, and other future plans, you may need an immunization record completed and signed by a medical practitioner. If you find you need this and are unable to see your primary care clinician, our Nurse Practitioner, Darcy Ravndal, can complete this for you at no cost. Please send, via email, your requested information and any scanned documents associated with the request. Please send to [email protected]
