Students are expected to be to class ON TIME for EACH period EVERY day.  Students have 6 minutes to get to each class.

If a student is late to class, the teacher will mark them tardy in ProgressBook. This will result in an automated text or email that says,

Good day, parents. If you are receiving this email, it means that your child either was tardy to at least one class today or missed at least one period of instruction. Attendance is an imperative and an expectation at Edgewater High School. Students have six minutes between classes and there are no two classes on our campus that can’t be reached in six minutes. Please have a conversation with your child about the importance of getting to class on time and remaining engaged. If you have questions, you can always check Progress Book daily to monitor your child’s attendance.

There will also be random tardy sweeps throughout the day. If a student is caught in the sweep, lunch detention will be issued as a consequence. Failure to serve lunch detention will result in days of in-school-suspension (PASS).
