Principal's Message

Welcome To Edgewater High School!
"The Pride of College Park and Orlando"

Principal Heather Kreider
Dear Edgewater Family,

Eagle Families, I hope this message finds you enjoying the final moments of the weekend and ready for a great week of activities, academics and athletics! This past week was AP appreciation week and we took time to celebrate our amazing Assistant Principals with lunch and a gift (pictured just below). These individuals work tirelessly to ensure that systems are running smoothly, teachers and students are supported and the school is the best place for your students. Please take a moment to thank them for what they do! Maria Schmidt-Sutton, our Assistant Principal of Instruction is on maternity leave; Scott Berkes is now serving as the API; Steve Louis Jean and interim AP Corey McGuire round out this amazing team of administrators.

Parents, please make sure you are regularly logging in to Skyward Parent Access to monitor grades and attendance. Please reach out to our Student Services team if you are unable to log in and we will assist.
We have recently welcomed two brand new baby Eagles to the nest here at Edgewater! Ms. Schmidt-Sutton welcomed baby Claire and Ms. Fiallo welcomed baby Luke. We love our growing Eagle family!

Please make sure you spread the word to anyone you know with a rising 9th grade student! Tuesday, April 9th, we will hold our very first Freshman Fly-In event at 5:30 in the PAC. We want every 9th grader to come in and meet our staff, see the campus and get a peek at some of our performing arts offerings.

We have taken the first round of BEST testing with the Writes assessment for students in grades 9 and 10. Toward the end of April, we will begin the remaining testing for AICE, followed in May by Advanced Placement and the remaining state assessments. See below for more information and please make sure you are regularly logging into Skyward to monitor grades and attendance.

Thank you for reading and have a great week!
