Principal's Message

Welcome To Edgewater High School!

We are certainly in unprecedented times. I am not only an OCPS employee, but also an OCPS parent and an Orange County resident. First, I need to acknowledge the hard work of our school board, our superintendent Dr. Jenkins, and our district staff for an unprecedented meeting last Tuesday. The questions raised by our school board members got to the heart of the big issues we face as a school district and as a community and I have confidence in their decision making.
Every parent will have a decision to make for their child after the school board votes on a plan this upcoming week. I’m here to tell you that you will make the right decision for your child, whatever you choose.
Since 2016, I have stood by our district and school commitment to put Edgewater student safety and the safety of our employees above all else. That’s a charge we take seriously.
We want kids to learn and we want our teachers to teach. But only in the safest possible manner. We know this is a fluid process and your adaptability and patience is much appreciated as we determine next steps together.
